Try Hiring an Amateur

It’s always perplexing to me why employers would think a 20K-50K fee for the right talent would be too expensive, or promoting someone into a role they richly deserve with a 5-10K increase is too much when losing a client because you have the wrong people on the account can cost millions. People who are experts in their field, have the potential to grow with the role/company and are passionate about what they do, are hard to find. When you find them, the above numbers are pennies compared to what they can do for your company. I’ve seen my candidates elevate teams/companies, bring in new business worth millions, rise to the top in half the time and save the company money because they’re so good at what they do, yet a company will often walk away because they cost a fee or require 10K more than they were budgeted for.
